De 10-jarige Giovanni heeft een droom: hij wil meedoen aan de Nederlandse Kampioenschappen synchroonzwemmen. Zijn droom wordt niet door iedereen begrepen, synchroonzwemmen is een echte meisjessport. Maar Giovanni kiest zijn eigen pad en zijn vriendinnetje Kim begrijpt hem wel. Als ze met z'n tweeën zijn wanen ze zich ongestoord en kletsen ze er vrolijk op los. Zal Giovanni, met Kim's steun, als eerste jongen het kampioenschap kunnen halen?
