Dina (17) was born in the Netherlands, but her parents come from Morocco. She herself has never been to Morocco, which sometimes leads people to call her a “fake Moroccan.” During her first trip to the country of her parents, she discovers a world that feels both unfamiliar and strangely familiar. It raises the question: what truly makes someone Moroccan? A question that also occupies many Dutch people with Moroccan roots.
