Hello Salaam

Hello Salaam

Sil (10) and Merlijn (11) are about to go on a big journey: they will visit a refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos. From their mothers – who both volunteer in refugee camps – they’ve heard the stories about the children who live there. Now they want to see and experience it for themselves. What is it like to live in a camp? First encounters such as handing out food and careful greetings soon become playful gatherings and good conversations in several languages. Is this the start of a friendship?
